My success rate was about 50% for the rejection letters on my first TT search. I was a post-doc at the time, and made a 'wall of shame' in my office on which I stapled all the letters.
To be clear, when this guy says "success rate" he means he actually got a rejection letter from a school, instead of getting nothing at all.

Last year I was planning to have a big bonfire of all my rejection letters (someone else suggested a pinata) but I stuffed them into a binder and forgot. When I cleaned out the binder to prep for this year's run, I just wasn't into it.
But if you _do_ have a massive scum letter conflagration, by all means post pics on the blog.

No way I'm burning them. I worked hard for those letters!
Now, some sort of arts & crafts project is a really possibility. . . .
I recommend decoupage.
Love the Aimee Mann allusions!
