Wait for Me

I've mentioned before how stunned I am at how long it takes to get a paper though a journal's review process, even just to get it rejected. Well, I was at a party last night talking to a guy who was bitching about how long it's taking him to get this one paper published. It's been rejected by a couple of journals, and he's been revising it after each rejection. He's still revising it now.

I asked him when he first sent the paper out to the first journal it was rejected from. 2003, apparently. Holy fuck.
